Franchise Owner
Since moving to Yardley in 2005, Matt and Anne Moyer have enjoyed raising their three children. With Anne commonly helping out at their kids’ schools or teaching preschool, and Matt coaching baseball, softball or flag football, they’re passionate about creating environments that let kids experience community and build connection. “No matter the team or activity, we want kids to have fun every week, root for each other, and discover support and guidance from adults who care about them.” says Matt.
For the Moyers, cooking and baking are favorite family activities that bring everyone together, from their 17 year old to their 7 year old. “We see the kitchen as a place where fun, experimentation and even the accompanying messes are welcome. It’s really exciting to turn the kitchen into a classroom where kids get to gain essential skills, be creative, explore new interests and have fun!” says Anne.
Matt adds: “For years, we dreamed of owning a business. Finding Young Chefs Academy turned out to be the perfect opportunity to embark on a new adventure boosted by the fulfillment that comes from helping kids flourish.”

Founder & CEO
Founder and CEO, Julie Burleson, established Young Chefs® Academy in 2003 with the vision of cultivating/serving children’s strong interest in the culinary arts. It has grown with locations throughout the US to be a welcoming environment that provides a “real” setting so that the students can take what they learn at YCA™ to their own homes.
“The kitchen is the pulse of the home… where we learn about life and each other,” says Burleson. “Young Chefs Academy nourishes those values and gives kids an innovative environment to learn and thrive. In this busy world, what could be better?”
Over the years our franchisees have been showcased across some of the largest networks, which is a testament to our values and community activities.
